This privacy policy explains how ‘Shambhavi Jhotish Kendra’ (astrologer Shobha Rani, “we” or “us”) collects, uses, stores and protects the information you give us when you use this website, book an appointment (on this website, by phone or WhatsApp, or through an AI assistant), or pay for a consultation or report. We may update it by changing this page. Last updated: 16 October 2026.

What we collect

When you book or contact us: your name, mobile / WhatsApp number, email address (optional), the service, way of consulting and time you choose, and any notes or questions you write.
Birth details (date, time and place of birth) if you give them. For match making, your partner’s name and birth details; if you give us another person’s details, please make sure they are happy for you to do so.
Payment: online fees are paid through Razorpay. We receive a payment reference, the amount and whether it succeeded. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
The internet (IP) address a booking was made from, kept with the booking to prevent misuse of the booking system.
Messages you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.

We do not ask for medical records or bank details. Please do not put them in the notes.

What we do with the information

To arrange, hold, confirm, change and carry out your appointment, and to contact you about it by phone, WhatsApp or email.
To prepare your consultation or written report. Birth details are used only for this.
To take and confirm payment, keep accounting records, and prevent misuse of the booking system.
To answer questions you send us.

We send promotional messages only if you have agreed to receive them, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

Booking through an AI assistant
You can ask an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT to book an appointment for you through our connector (see Book with an AI assistant). The assistant sends us only the booking details described above, that is, what you tell it for the booking, and we send back free times and the status of your booking. We do not receive, read or store your conversation with the assistant. The assistant never receives your card or UPI details: you pay on this website. Your assistant’s provider handles your conversation under its own privacy terms. Bookings made this way carry a short note saying so in our records.

Sharing of your information
We use these services to run the booking, and they handle your information only for that purpose: Razorpay (payments), our web hosting and email services (to run this website and send confirmations), and Telegram (our astrologer receives a private notice of each new booking with your name, number, service and time). We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We never sell, distribute or lease your personal information to anyone.

Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. Booking records are kept on our web server in a protected area that cannot be opened from the internet, the booking management screen is password protected, and this website uses HTTPS. We treat your name, birth details, email and telephone number as confidential and make no disclosure to anyone except as described in this policy. Birth data is used solely for preparing and communicating your consultation, guidance or report.

How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to provide the service and keep proper accounts, normally no longer than 3 years after your last appointment, unless the law requires us to keep some records longer (for example accounting records). After that we delete or anonymise them.

Cookies and other websites
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. When you pay, the Razorpay payment window may set its own cookies under Razorpay’s privacy policy, and this website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your internet address when a page loads. Our website may also contain links to other websites. Once you leave our site we have no control over that other website and cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information you provide there; please read the privacy statement of any site you visit.

Your Rights
You may ask us at any time to tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy, to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete, to delete your information (we may need to keep some records where the law requires it), or to stop sending you promotional messages. You may also withdraw your agreement to be contacted; this does not affect appointments already held.
